📝 Garden Grove Park Playground Review
This space-themed playground is such a fun one, and it’s become a go-to favorite in our rotation. The rocket ships, tunnels, and little pretend-play details are all super cute, and there’s enough variety here to keep my kids busy for a solid hour or two.
The layout includes two separate play structures: one for toddlers (2–5) and one for bigger kids (5–12). My toddlers have no problem using the smaller one, and they love playing with the musical instruments and activity panels on the big-kid structure too. There’s also an OmniSpin and a merry-go-round if your kids love spinning like mine do.
One of the cutest features is the pretend “plane ticket” window—my 4-year-old daughter and 3-year-old niece use it like a mini store to “buy” and “sell” snacks, tickets, or whatever their little imaginations come up with.
There’s also plenty to love as a parent: tons of shade from trees, shaded picnic tables, and bathrooms just across the parking lot. Visibility is good across the playground, and the grassy field nearby is perfect if your kids want to kick a ball or just run wild after playing.
Just one note: the playground isn’t fenced, and parts of the big-kid structure are pretty high—so keep an eye out if your little one likes to climb everything in sight.

🧱 Ground Surface
The entire playground area has rubber flooring, which is great for cushioning falls and makes it easier for toddlers to walk or run around.
👶 Toddler-Friendly?
Yes. There’s a dedicated play structure for toddlers (ages 2–5), and even the big-kid structure has activity panels low enough for little ones to enjoy. My toddlers play here regularly with no issues. Also, keep an eye on little ones tempted to climb the big-kid structure—some areas are pretty high and better suited for older kids.
🚧 Enclosed / Fenced In?
Open. Not fenced off, but spacious enough that it’s hard for a toddler to reach the parking lot without you noticing.

Bathrooms are located just across the parking lot near the softball field—easy to get to if someone needs a quick break.
